HTC helps clients plan more secure
HTC HTC's new plan could help ease the flagship upcoming purchase. A phone its M9 is to give you a peace of mind when you buy.If you accidentally damage your phone, the company now promises to give you a new one free of charge with a cute program it calls Plan Uh-Oh protection.
Here's how it works:
If you buy a new phone HTC One M9 of this spring, you will be automatically enrolled in the protection plan.
HTC will cover any damage to your phone for a year. If you crack your phone, drop it into a toilet, or harm it in any other way, you are eligible for a new phone free replacement.
Just call 1-800, give your information HTC, and the company will overnight you a replacement phone and an envelope that you can use to return your equipment is damaged.
That's it. It's completely free.
Now for the caveats!
The protection plan only lasted a year, the same as your regular warranty. You can only get a replacement phone once a year, but you can still get another device at a discount if you have other accidents.
If you do not end up getting a replacement phone during that time, HTC will give you $ 100 to buy HTC your next phone.
Finally, the offer starts with the release of One M9, without a confirmed release date. The protection plan will be applied if you buy phone M8 One last year too.
Understood?
So why HTC do this?
The main strategy is to give customers a reason to choose a new one on the other phone M9 online. By now, smart phones are quite similar. You can buy an iPhone or one of the dozens of Android devices. And if you want Android, maybe you want a phone with the best value because most of them work the same way.
This is an interesting problem. Apple has an iron grip on the executive of the global market. Everyone else is still trying to figure out how to crack the code. HTC's alternate plan may seem like a great deal, but it still would be very difficult to make this a factor that causes people to suddenly start flocking to your HTC phone
