How to go from Microsoft Excel to Mobile App in Minutes

What the heck? You are kidding - This was exactly my response until I saw the demo and built a prototype . Now I have created a strategic partnership with the company who developed this technology.

Technology is changing how we live, work, and play. Innovative minds are testing the limits of possibilities and are building amazing solutions to solve most complex problems this world is facing.

My use-case for "Excel to Mobile App" prototype was "Interactive Calculator" and wrote this simple Agile story:

As a Product Owner, I want to build a calculator in an Excel sheet using a complex Excel formula and quickly convert both input and output in to a Web link or access through the mobile app; so that my members will be able to  can build use this interactive financial calculator on desktop or mobile to make financial decisions.

This amazing team followed simple steps:

  • Created a simple financial calculator in Excel
  • Uploaded the Excel sheet on the cloud
  • Customized the CSS, HTML, JavaScript to match the brand and user experience
  • Published the application to the cloud
  • With these 4 simple steps an awesome looking customized interactive calculator was available to be used by members on their desktop or tablets or mobile.

I believe, the opportunities for  any financial institutes using this technology is only limited by their imagination and they can build great solutions using this tool.

  • Imagine building an interactive calculator using complex Excel functions and deploying it to members on web and mobile
  • Build a simple feedback survey in Excel and deploy to the cloud in minutes to capture member feedback from desktop or mobile
  • Generate leads by allowing members to save or self-email their calculations using this application
  • Imagine having full control on calculations and user experience that matches your brand and member experience
  • Imagine collecting leads during an event and directing routing those leads in to your CRM system with a click of a button
  • Imagine securely sharing a slice of a complex business reports and dashboards from Excel with your executives or employees or members through web or mobile apps
  • Build simple data gathering apps in days and deploy in minutes on the cloud
(Another Shameless Plug) Please let me know if you are done imagining the possibilities and are ready for building a simple prototype with me with no-cost for you. I think we have a deal.
