How many time do we wonder if we have kept everything in our pocket while we leave our house or office, check out of a hotel, or just go out for a couple of drinks with friends. Or if you are a school going kid and you forget just that very notebook in which you need to take the assessment quiz in your class. And if Granny can still remember where she last put her reading glasses. This is just one of our everyday use cases and we always wondered if technology can come to help. Will it be simple, small and affordable enough? It seems like that the time has come for technology in our everyday lives will be more ubiquitous and hidden. something that helps everyday life (and make us more dependent upon it
How many time do we wonder if we have kept everything in our pocket while we leave our house or office, check out of a hotel, or just go out for a couple of drinks with friends.

It seems like that the time has come for technology in our everyday lives will be more ubiquitous and hidden. something that helps everyday life (and make us more dependent upon it)

Huawei, Samsung, Broadcom and the like have been busy lately announcing super small footprint chips which if produced at scale can be a single digit USD proposition. and on top of that Google, Samsung, Huawei and a lot of others are making 32 Mb operating systems.

Too much complicated technology  stuff! Well, what this means for our everyday life is that we can very soon have a 100 Rs - 200 Rs keyring which beeps our phone if we are missing the key ring at home. and what if you missed picking up the phone too - don't worry, you may see a beep in your car too. and this chip can be in your your wallet as well. A similar chip in your shoe can tell you when is the time to change those socks or what is your fluid balance in peak heat - do you need more glucose in your drink or you need a brisk walk to get blood circulation going.

Your kid can have a cover for his/her notebooks and notify you if she is missing that vital notebook, or Granny's glasses will start glowing and beeping if u press a button on the phone.

Simple inexpensive chips in all our everyday items and a ton of applications and innovation to come from our software producing brethren, all available embedded in items we use everyday. All at a cost that will be potentially very affordable (in hundreds of rupees), super exciting times ahead.
