Submitting Your App to The App Store and Google Play

I have just submitted my wonderful new mobile app to Apple’s The App Store and Google’s Google Play for approval. My new app is simply called Sellars Consulting because, well, that is what I decided to call it. I could have just called it “Bill” I suppose, but I wanted to be more professional than that. Anyway, I am sharing this with my readers and followers so that they can get a “real-time” view of the process.  Here is my prediction:

First, Google Play will accept the app as is and probably within one week. Apple, however, will take about twice that long and always has the potential for wanting something changed. No problem, I will adjust accordingly until The App Store says “okay!”.

The issue is somewhat philosophical, but, I think, legitimate. If every app ever submitted, assuming it worked, was accepted, you would get little websites on your phone. Apps are different because they use the native features of the smartphone to add value to the user’s experience. Location alerts and specials, product and event notifications, feedback forms, loyalty cards, coupons, reservations and, most importantly, instant gratification in the hands of your customers.
