Talk about being quick off the mark, Zoho announced last week that their apps would be available on the Apple watch. Wow ...
As an Apple and Zoho user I have to admit I was stunned partly because I am not sold on the idea of the Apple watch or similar mainly due to the price, but it did get me thinking. How would it look and what would you use it for ? Moreover is it just one more gadget that I will need to replace on a regular basis to keep up with the technology ?
Apparently the first apps to be released will be Zoho Expense, Zoho Books and Taskz (see the App Store if you don't use it - its great !!). Apparently Raju envisages us using it track mileage and similar things that you always forget to do when you are a busy person always on the road. A quick tap to start your journey and another to finish - brilliant expenses submitted - but what if I forgot to tap, after all I always forget with my Oyster card! Woudn't it be great if it could sense you getting in the car - integrate to Apple CarPlay maybe ?
As for the integration with Taskz - if a quick "shock" to the wrist could remind me to call that Prospect or Customer at the time we agreed - Fantastic !
All this wonderful technology to help me perfect my performance but in reality somehow I still have to get the info and the reminder request into the system in the first place. So now I need to "Hey Siri - remind me to call XXXX @ <time>" Of course we all know this is where the technology is going, but in reality its probably a couple of years off.
In any case well done Zoho for being so quick off the mark, and Raju can I borrow your watch to beta test the app please ?
