Are You Ready To Become Instafamous?
Ah, fame. One thing which people always seem to want, even if it is for a few mere minutes. In the past you had to be a celebrity in order to be famous. You had to either be a football player, an actor, a singer, something that will appear on TV.
But now, things are different. A lot of people are spending time on social media and on sites like Youtube and Instagram, are where the new celebrities are being born.
The magic recipe for instant fame
That would be something nice if it existed, wouldn't it? Although television is notorious for making stupid people famous, when you are online and everyone has the freedom to choose if they are going to view your content or not, you have to try harder. After all, you are competing against your peers for who is more worthy of the little time your viewers have to spare.
That said, it is obvious why unique and high quality content is so important. If you have your own specific niche, you have fewer people to compete against, and if your content is better then you are the one winning said competition.
But content is only half the battle. Up next is the interaction with your viewers. They don't want to feel like they are watching television. They want to be able to talk with you and recognition is always appreciated. The simplest way a lot of people are using is to like the comments of their followers. However, both Instagram and Youtube have users who prefer to talk and comment instead of simply hitting like. Instagram specifically has a lot more users who actively engage than any other social network.
As such, it will be ever so more appreciated if you start commenting and replying instead of simply giving a thumbs up. You can also start posting questions or even competitions to get the traffic flowing. And remember to give the spotlight to the people who deserve it. If someone gave you a cool idea which you implemented or if he won a competition, be sure to always give them credit. It is not just for courtesy's sake. They are likely to be thinking and talking about how one of the celebrities and online personas they like, just acknowledged them.
Taking shortcuts
Yes, even when promoting yourself, there are a few ways to make things run faster. It is still not a magic formula, but it is as close as it can get.
There are two things in how you can invest to rapidly increase your followers. One of them is to buy followers from a website that offers such service. But by all means, do make sure you buy real Instagram followers. Simple bots who are going to sit there and not do anything more than following you, are going to end up being a burden.
Another thing you can do is to either trade followers with another Instagramer or getting sponsored by one. The first one is fairly simple. You need to find someone who is producing similar content to you, so that your viewers could be interested in both of you, and you should probably make sure he is not a direct competitor.
The idea here is to combine your forces and create content to be posted in both profiles. Ideally, some of your followers will want to follow the other profile as well, and vise versa.
As for the sponsoring part, that is fairly easy. You are going to pay someone to do for you what you want to be paid to do for others. You will find a profile with many followers and pay for them to give their viewers a nudge to your profile.
In the end, there are many choices out there. Although every single one can have great benefits for you, it is probably best adviced to combine their forces. The more the better, right?
