So how do you write and publish a post for LinkedIn?
Publishing a long article is about providing value to your network to invite engagement or action, be it commenting, sharing, clicking on a link, or making contact with you.

THINGS TO CONSIDER

Here are our top content writing tips for your LinkedIn articles;
  • Have a purpose or outcome -  e.g. to educate or inspire action
  • Understand who your intended audience is
  • Aim for 500 – 2000 words
  • Break up the text with relevant images (preferably branded with your logo)
  • Use your keywords in sentences and position yourself accordingly
  • Write conversationally, and invite the reader to engage
  • Link outwards to your other articles / webpages / social media profiles
  • Back up stats and claims with data and reference points
  • Always have a call to action direct or indirect
  • Create a compelling, attention grabbing headline
  • Close with a summary, about the author, and call to action.

 

ARTICLE FRAMEWORK

1. Intro paragraph – tell them what you are going to tell them 
Break your content into 3 main points
2. Point 1
3. Point 2
4. Point 3 
5. Summarise what you have told them
6. Ask a question to invite engagement.
7. Close the article with an About the Author footer including a CTA.
Writing is easy and can be fun once you get into a flow.
