5 Reasons You're Leaving Mobile Commerce Revenue on the Table (Link to Webinar Recording)

Yesterday, my colleague Kelly O'Regan and I presented our stance on broken mobile commerce practices (webinar link below):

Reason #1: Products are getting buried
Traditional product categories bury products under several layers of choice the user must navigate. Promote your products to the top to provide context and service the micro-moments your customers can give.

Reason #2: Absence of inspiration
Consumers are moving from planned to inspired shopping. Take advantage of your customer's bored triggers and reward them with beautiful imagery that explains how products fit into their lifestyle.

Reason #3: Underestimating the cart
Think of the digital cart like a physical cart: a way to narrow your customers' overwhelming amount of choice. Make it easy to make final purchase decisions in the cart with larger product images, quick info, and save-for-later features.

Reason #4: Frustrating sign-up and check-out processes
Customers are frequently switching from frustrating mobile checkout experiences to complete their purchase on desktop. This is not okay. Help your customers get through checkout with shortened or social signups, Apple Pay, credit card image capture, and pre-populated information.

Reason #5: Disconnected in-store and online experiences
Customers want to do business with you, not separately with your .com and your physical stores. These experiences should be consistent. Empower your employees with digital channel knowledge and think about your customer's journey throughout their holistic brand experience with you--whether mobile, call center, desktop or in-store.

Let us know your thoughts on our points. Do you have a differing view or something to add? There are so many variables and different business models that e-commerce touches. We'd love to hear your opinions!
